Monfool is a small woodworking studio in Dallas–Fort Worth. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why. The short version: we keep it minimal, we don't use cookies or ad trackers, and we never sell your information.

When you fill out a form

Our forms (the workshop waitlist, custom project requests, barter offers, the contribute form, and product inquiries) ask for what we need to reply: usually your name, an email or phone number, and your message. We use those details only to get back to you and help with what you asked. We don't sell or share them, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Anonymous usage analytics

So we can tell what's actually useful, we record simple, anonymous events: which page was viewed, roughly where you arrived from (for example Instagram, Google, or direct), and whether you're on a phone or a computer.

We do not use cookies. To estimate how many separate people visit (rather than just counting page loads), we generate a one-way, daily-rotating code from your IP address and browser type. That code cannot be reversed to identify you, it changes every day, and we do not store your raw IP address. These analytics live on our own servers, not an advertising network, and are automatically deleted after 180 days.

If you would rather not be counted at all, visit monfool.com/?mftrack=off once and this browser stops sending analytics for good. That preference is kept in your browser's local storage. Still not a cookie, never sent to us, and it identifies nothing. Its only job is to stop us collecting. Turn it back on here.

What we don't do

No cookies, no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting for ads.
We don't sell, rent, or trade your information.
We don't build advertising profiles about you.

Third parties

Our site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which may log basic technical request data, including IP addresses, at the infrastructure level, as is standard for any website.
We load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them and Google may receive your IP address as part of that request.
If you click through to our Instagram or Facebook, those sites operate under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep things

Analytics events: automatically deleted after 180 days.
Form submissions: kept while we're helping you and for as long as reasonably needed. Ask us to delete yours whenever you like.
